A program of religious education and sacramental preparation for students in grades 1through 8 who attend public or other private schools. Classes meet on Sunday mornings from late August into May. Students receive education from a devoted group of catechists, using texts, prayer services, Bible study, songs, videos, role playing and a variety of other activities. Parents are encouraged to support the religious education of their children by their personal practice of faith, by their encouragement of their children to participate actively in classes, and to assist the catechists upon request.
